Wineology Summer Edition: White Wine Mojito

by Sahirenys Pierce
mojito

This light and refreshing wine spritzer tastes just like a mojito, but without the white rum. Now that I am a mom, I am seriously loving these low alcohol beverages all summer long. With pool days, kids playing outside, and tones of construction around my neighborhood, tipsy mom wouldn’t be such a good idea.

So, Continuing my inexpensive summer Wineology challenge, I used a Trader Joe’s Sauvignon Blanc to create a white wine mojito. I seriously love anything mint or citrus, so to be able to combine both into a wine drink sounded cool, but I needed proof that it would still taste like an authentic mojito. I just did what any normal person would do and created both a white wine mojito for me and a rum mojito for my husband. Let me tell you that when he tasted the wine knockoff he was super impressed. They tasted so similar that I instantly had to add it to the books.

Well, here it is the white wine mojito, and just as a quick note, you can use any unoaked white wine. Most white wines are unoaked, but some might not so keep an eye out for that. Other than that please enjoy and share with your friends.
