How Do You Pay for Emergencies?

Is this a trick question…

Having an emergency fund makes sense.But for a long time, people have contemplated if they need a credit card, if a credit card is part of their emergency fund, and so on.

For me, it’s all about how you look at your financial tools. 

When you’re in the heat of the moment, paying for everything needed with a credit card is my preferred option.That doesn’t mean that my credit card is my emergency fund or that I’m putting money on credit that I don’t have.

Instead, once everything settles I’ll transfer the funds from my emergency fund and pay my credit card in full. 

But how do you pay for an emergency? Has using your credit card accidentally leave you in debt during an emergency?
